- If you read "The Red-Headed League," tell us what you found strange or unusual in Mr. Wilson's story. Give evidence from the story section to support your answer.
I think that the letter was hidden with the guy who stole it in the first place.I think this because I don't think that he would hid it in his house because he would know that the police would look in his house
ReplyDeleteI think it was hidden somewhere else, because they searched the whole house. I think he took it with him.
ReplyDeleteI think he took it with him because they searched the entire house. Otherwise it could be hidden somewhere they did check.
ReplyDeleteI think it would have been hidden in the floor or the basement and the police missed it. The evidence is that he didn't mention anything about under the floor or anything.
ReplyDeleteThe book The Red-Headed League I thought the short man was very strange. It was unusual that so many red-heads were there. He was selected out of so many people and I thought that was weird too.
ReplyDeleteI think that the assistant recommending the club was strange and that the millionaire would basically just give them money. Also why the club needed someone else to join.
ReplyDeleteI think the letter was hidden in the Minister's house. The reason I think the letter was hidden in the Minister's house is because the police searched every inch of the whole house. However, the detectives had already found it in the house and taken it.
ReplyDeleteI think that the letter was hiden in the minister's house but before the police could seach the house and made them lookn for it so manny times my was turning.but then one of the detectives sad if you writte me a check for the money you just told me i will give you the letter.
ReplyDeleteI think the man who took the letter at the very beginning took it with him. Even if the police searched every single inch in that house, they still would never fing it.
ReplyDeleteIn The Adventure of the Red-Headed League, I think it was unusual that Mr. Wilson ended up getting the job even though he had no knowledge about the Red-Headed League. He told Mr. Holmes that he didn't know much about what happened outside.
ReplyDeleteThe police completely missed it. They searched the whole house a lot, but could not find the letter, so I think it is hidden somewhere else. Do you know where it is?????
ReplyDeleteI think the letter is hidden somewhere else. The police searched the entire house and could no find it.So I think the minster took it with him.
ReplyDeleteit was could not sorry
ReplyDeleteI don't think the letter is hidden in his house. If the police could not find it in the house, I think the Minister mailed it off for a while. Then it would come to his house after the police had finished searching.
ReplyDeleteMr. Wilson's assistant knew exactly where to go, but kept snapping pictures. He also works for half pay.
ReplyDeleteMr. Spaulding somehow was very excited for Wilson even though most people would show jealousy towards Mr. Wilson.
ReplyDeleteI think the letter is in an obvious place. Since the police were looking in good hiding spots,so it is the in a cabneit.
ReplyDeleteI think, overall, that it is unusual to have an entire league devoted to red-headed men. I mean, why would you have a league just for red-headed men?
ReplyDeleteAnderson Liddle #9: The Red Headed Leguage
ReplyDeleteI thought Mr.Spaulding was suspicouse because:
1. He took a lot of pictures while workinG
2. He also knew how to get to the office without the address in the newspaper.
3. 2 is really suspicous, it is like Mr.Spaulding MEMORIZED IT!!!!!
Mr. Wilson is under my suspicion too. Why?
1. The one and only reason is: Why did he come to Sherlock Holmes?!
This has been my blog assignment. Date: 1/4/2013
Why would you have a league for just red headed men? Why are the numbers running lower than usual? Why would there be a big pay for little work?
ReplyDeleteI think he hid it in a secret space and the police did not find the secret place because he said the police thought it was impossible for a secret place
ReplyDeleteAt first, I thought that the Minister might have just takin it. But then I rememberd what Dupin did at the end of the story. He took the letter out of the drawer. How could he get the letter from the MInister??? Had he known the MInister??? Did he know there was a case to be solved in the first place??? Did he take the letter??? Did the Minister have a different letter??? DId the police forget to look somewere??? So,I dont know whats happening. Its all a mystery. :)
ReplyDeleteI Think that the detective talked to the minister before the police came back for the 2nd time and got a copy of the letter. The minister gave it to the detective and the detective said we'll split the money. I think that because there was a month period from when the police came the 1st time and then a 2nd time.
ReplyDeleteI think that the letter was hidden underground. The minister might have dug a hole out in a park and hid it there. I think it is hidden somewhere like a park because they used a microscope to look at the floor and if the minister pulled out his floor and put the letter in it they would have seen something. That is what I think happened to the letter.
ReplyDeleteI think the letter was hidden in the yard underground. They did not talk about cheaking the yard .If he had woods in his backyard he could have easily hidden it their. That is what I think happend to the letter.
ReplyDeleteI found several unusual parts to Mr. Wilson's story in "The Red-Headed League". I found it strange that Mr. Wilson was in China and got a tattoo of a pink fish. I also think it was strange that Mr. Wilson's assistant, Vincent Spaulding, was working for only half pay. Oddly, Mr. Spaulding spent a lot of time taking photos and developing them in the cellar. Mr. Spaulding somehow knew about an opening in a weird league for red-headed men only. Mr. Spaulding took Mr. Wilson to the address for the league, and I thought it was suspicious that Mr. Wilson easily got the job.
ReplyDeleteI think the letter was put in a trunk and underground. The minister might have been expected a police search so minister might have gone to his backyard and dug a 10 foot hole and placed the letter in the hole. When the police got to the house they couldn't find the letter because they didn't look at the backyard because it's covered by bricks. But the detective knew where he'd hid the letter and took the letter and gave it to the officer. That is what I think happened.
ReplyDeleteI think the Minister knew the officers would search his house when he was out of the house so he put it in his shoe. It could have also been mailed to the detective.
ReplyDeleteI think that the letter was hiden somewhere inside the bricks of the house. But the officers just didnt look INSIDE the bricks even though they seached and would have found if anything was moved. You don't know how smart the minister really is. But then again the detective knew where the leter was and took it.
ReplyDeleteI have read The Purloined Letter.I think he hid the letter where he works because the police couldnt find it in his house and because he works with special people.
ReplyDeleteI read the Purloined Letter. I think he either had it with him the whole time just to be careful because maybe he had a feeling they would do something like that so he kept it. Or he hid it under the bricks on the ground a while before and planted the moss again so they wouldn't suspect a thing. But somehow the Detective received the letter or stole the letter because he found it. It could be that the minister gave he the letter for svae kepping but when the detective herad the story and the amount of money offered he betrayed the minister and gave the letter to the officer.
ReplyDeleteI think the letter was hidden inside the brick wall. Then Dupin came and got the letter out of the wall and fixed the wall, And the police didn't see were Dupin took the letter out of the wall
ReplyDeleteI read the Purloined Letter. I think he hid it somewhere entirely different. I also think that Detective Dupin spied on Minster Darion and saw were he hid it,and after he left where he hid it,he sneaked to his hiding spot and got the letter and locked it in his drawer.
ReplyDeleteI read the Purloined Letter. I think Dupin had had the letter the before anyone could look for it. He must have stole it again knowing that he would get money for it. Hes kinda sounded like he was rely suspicious when he was talking about the the letter. He must of framed the person they thought he stole it from for the money. That is what I think happened.
ReplyDeleteI read The Purloined Letter. I think that Detective Dupin was hiding the letter the whole time. When he heard what the reward was he gave the letter to Gerrard so he could get the money. I think Dupin and the minister were in an alliance the whole time. I think this because Dupin simply handed the letter to Gerrard right after he said what the reward was. That is no coincidence.
ReplyDeleteI think that the minister had it but then Dupin heard the reward money and took it from the minister. Then he got the money from Gerrard.
ReplyDeleteI think the note is going to be in the shoe because you dont really want to be looking in Dupins shoe.
ReplyDeleteI read The Purloined Letter.I think that dupin had found the lettre but was waiting till the reward got big. Then when he said he would give the cheack to who ever found it he gave it to him.
