At Nature's Classroom, I took the class called Hoot n Hurl. Some other people who took this class with me were Hannah, Tad, Zev, Sydney, Alex, Bella, and Annabel. I learned about some of the owl's super stealthy hunting technics, such as it's ruffled wings, extra talon, and superb night vision. I also got to disect owl pellets, and my group found two animal skulls! All in all, Nature's Classroom was a great experience and I would love to go again.

  30. At Natures Classroom I learned in my candle making class, (witch you were in Ms. Holladay), that the children in the olden days made the candles. The candles were used for light, but not smell. They used cow fat to make the candles. And as you can imagine it didn't smell pleasant. Later on the start to use different animal fat that smell a little better and that burned longer. Natures Classroom was a fun experience, I wished we stayed longer!

  31. Nature's Classroom was a happy and memorable experience for me. I learned all about owls in the hoot and hurl class with my friends from different groups. I explored the eating habits of owls by dissecting an actual owl pellet. I found many rodent bones including a tiny skull.

  32. Nature's Classroom was not very fun for me. Nothing was really interesting, and we couldn't even be ORT-less for one meal. But, I did enjoy one of my classes and I even learned a bit. In Candles, I learned that the kids made the candles and that they had to make enough candles for the entire year. That wound up to be 730 candles per year!!! I can now understand why all the sixth-graders complained about Nature's Classroom.

  33. I a great time at Natures Classroom! I learned about trees, the underground railroad, the wild. I also had one of the best cabins ever! I love the ORT-less thing we got so close to getting it.But overall I had the best time.

  34. Natures Classroom was probably my favorite thing we did all year in school... I got to be with my friends, and didn't have any problems with them!(Not that I would...) I already knew about teamwork, but at Natures Classroom, you strengthened your ability of teamwork. You got to see some things you don't see here in Tennessee. The Underground Railroad taught me that whenever I'm out in nature, I need to prepare for any kind of weather, and have a flashlight. I LOVED Natures Classroom!!!!!!!

  35. While at Natures Classroom I learned how to make soap. And in the days where women did most of the work, they made soap from cow fat and other gross ingredients. So it did not smell very pleasant. But it was hard work back then and now we use herb, and other god smelling ingredients. I had a great time there and I wish we could go back.

I enjoyed Nature's Classroom very much. I learned something new in the class I Fly Away. In that class I learned about the four major forces effecting airplanes. They are lift, drag, gravity and thrust. We used what we learned by building and testing... Paper airplanes!!!! That is what I learned at Nature's Classroom.

  45. I loved Natures Classroom more than anything in the whole world!! My favorite activity was bubbles. We learned lots about bubbles!! Like the gravity does not effect the way the bubbles work so the gravity doesn't pull the bubbles down.
My favorite field group activity was going on hikes and going through the split rock and playing predator VS. prey!! Also our field group was the first ever group to go on a trail that they just made a few weeks ago and they have not made a name for it wet.

And it's not my favorite just because I was map guy! I learned that slaves had to be VERY convincing and they had to repeat the same story again and NEVER SAY WE when talking to a bounty hunter which I found out you talk to a lot more than I thought. IT was a little too Educational but still was cool. NATURES CLASSROOM ROCKS FOOD AND FUN WISE! ROOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL TIDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

  48. I loved and learned a lot in natures classroom, but I learned that triangles are stronger than boxes. Water flows to one spot and not a thousand or more places around the world it might go to a pool of water or the ocean. I learned that some lichen is edible but some is not like crumbled ruffles. I was in the cabin arrowhead and the muskrats there was so many friends I can't name them all.
